Puerto Calero was created to provide a marina with residential area and Golf Course. It has grown, the marina has been extended and can now even take superyatchs, and is well worth a visit. You will find it just to the south of Puerto del Carmen.
You will find a long row of designer shops, and you can buy all sorts of things from designer clothes to wetsuits. There is a supermarket.

You will find quite a few restaurants and bars. Some are quite upmarket such as the La Caleta to the south of the harbour. We enjoyed a breakfast at the British Bulldog, the owners were very friendly and the meal was good quality at a good price.

You may arrive in Puerto Calero as part of an trip organised by your tour rep. This is because the submarine and catemaran both leave from the Puerto Calero Harbour.

We found the whale and Dolfin museum to be well worth a visit. It explains the disasterous concequences of sonic noise on whales and dolfins and what we can do to put pressure on the authorities to prevent this. You will find it above these shops, or on your left as you enter Puerto Calero. It opens at 10 every day apart from holidays.
