Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, Lanzarote
Parque Nacional de Timanfaya is open daily from 9 to 5.45. The best ting to do here is to take the bus tour where you will get recordings in several languages explaining how the volcanic eruptions that have created the current landscape. The bus will stop for photographs but you will not be allowed off the bus.
After the tour you will be able to see the guides either throwing dried grasses into the lava holes creating a rush of flames out of the hole, or pouring water in to create a rush of steam
In the restaurant you will be able to eat barbequed meat cooked from the natural heat of the earth.
