Costa Teguise is situated in the more northern area of Lanzarote, and is the only tourist resort north of the airport. Therefore you will find a lot of car hire businesses allowing you to explore the fishing villages and other attractions in the north of the island, although it doesn't take too long to drive all the way down to the south.
There are four beaches, which from the north are Playa de los Charcos, Playa de las Cucharas, Playa de Jabilido, and Playa Bastian, and each set in a bay sheltered from the wind. The beaches here are nice and have dark golden sand. My favourite though was Playa de Jabilido. Although this is a rocky beach, this makes it great for snorkelling as when we went there were about 10 species of fish only a few yards from the shore.
At the south end of Costa Teguise is the Pueblo Marinero which was designed by Manrique. Here you will find the pretty white buildings famous on Lanzarote resembling a fishing village. Here you will find some good restaurants close to the sea. There isn't a beach in this area though but it is very good for fishing as there are rocks that you can sit on whilst fishing and you will be relatively undisturbed.
Costa Teguise has a golf course, situated in the Avda. del Golf s/n and Aquapark Costa Teguise the water park which is situated just beside the golf course.
There are also several streets lined with shops bars supermarkets and restaurants. Probably die to there being lots of competition between the various restaurants the price of food and beverages seem very reasonable.
